Arsenal Masterclass....How not to win a game....

Arsenal continued to blaze a trail away from next seasons Champions League football last night with another sterling performance against Liverpool. While Liverpool wasted their time playing cross-field balls and exploiting the fact that they always seemed to have a man in space, we stuck to our "try to pass it into the back of the net" game, which is especially successful when the passes are proving more random than a random thing from planet unpredictable. I was a bit confused to see Diaby on the bench, and after ten minutes I even started to think that Helb was worth the money (He was on the bench as well). Has Freddie got a bet on himself not to score all season? Someone will be paying out big!!!!

All being said though, you know we're struggling when Lehman has a great "psychotic episode free" game, picks up man-of-the-match and saves a penalty!!!

Bring on Real Madrid!!!!!

Pregnant mum ponders Arsenal offer.......

In his endless quest for young raw talent, Aresene Wenger is trying to sign a baby due to be born is 3 months time. The rumour that the babies dad used to be a bit handy up front for his local pub team prompted Wenger to approach the mum-to-be about signing a pre-contract with Arsenal. Wenger is reported as suggesting that should things remain the same defensively, the baby could make the first team in time for the start of next season.....

Arsenal interested in french defender!!!

Arsenal are reportedly interested in Ronald Zubar, a French U-21 defender at french club Caen. Any possible move would probabaly not happen until summer as Wenger considers life without Big Sol in a few years time...or considering the past weeks going ons, a few weeks...

Zubar, not a trendy bar in the westend, but a potential transfer target by all accounts!!

Walcott Debut!!!!

Our Theo made his debut last night in a reserve game against Portmouth. We lost 3-2 unsuprisingly, however, after a fairly tame 1st half on the wing, Theo scored a great goal in the second half. His second half performance improved greatly after he was moved to the centre of attack.

After the game, he was quoted as saying that he was hoping to make my 1st team debut against bolton at the weekend, but he's been told by Arsenal not to speak too much to the press and the like or face detention and 10000 lines……After the game he jumped into his pedal car and raced off home to do some colouring in...

Arsenal vs Real Madrid

Well folks, the good news is that tickets go on sale today (7/2/06) on ticketmaster at 9:30.

The bad news, well.....lets just say a defence would be nice, prehaps I should write a letter to Santa on Wengers behalf..

Come on Pat Rice, dust off your 1970's boots and show us how it's done...waist-high tackles and all!!!!!

Difficult Question: Cygan or 10 Men?

Here's a tough one, what would you rather, 10 men on the pitch or Pascal Cygan in the starting eleven? I said it was a hard one....

Here's pascal carrying out one of his trademark backpasses to Lehman...

Emana for Arsenal???

Toulouse midfielder Achille Emana is inviting Arsenal to sign him. Rumour has it we've watched him a couple of times and he is apparently rated. I've not heard anything about him, has anyone?

was out there playing.'
Ade Akinbiyi

Bergkamp speaks out...

Bergkamp, the usually relaxed and quiet player has revealed his disappointment that Arsenal didn’t line up a replacement for Viera when they knew he was going. I have to agree with him, the end result we are enduring which is a transitional year could have been avoided is we’d been more pro-active. Saying that, it’s been the defence that has really burnt us, but that’s just my opinion ;)

Normal service has been resumed

Well....what can I say, 4-4-2 formation which includes a midfield line in defense and in midfield and we get an away win!!! For a while there I was half expecting a "call to arms" phonecall from Wenger...I bet he's been trying to persuade Pat Rice to take a trip down memory lane from 90 minutes all week!!

It's our new fullback, has the same name and even looks the same as our midfielder Flamini....
